The Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC) is pleased to congratulate Past President Luana Buratynski on receiving the Sean McKenna Award at the Toronto Construction Association’s 156th  AGM & ‘Best of the Best’ Awards Presentation on February 28, 2024. 

The Sean McKenna Award is “presented annually to a rising star in the Toronto construction industry with the admirable qualities that ultimately make them great industry leaders. Winners distinguish themselves by going above and beyond the call of duty and make significant contributions to the overall betterment of the industry.”

Beyond Luana’s role as Technical Sales and Business Development with Northern Facades, Luana is also Past President of the CAWIC Board of Directors, is president-elect of CSINext, and has served on several of the Toronto Construction Association’s Young Construction Leaders committees.

“This award celebrates Luana’s ongoing commitment to the construction industry. At CAWIC, we have seen first-hand her passion and dedication to supporting women in construction and helping to expand CAWIC’s reach and positive impact,” said Lisa Laronde, President, CAWIC. “On behalf of all of us at CAWIC, we want to extend our congratulations to Luana and express our sincere gratitude for her ongoing dedication.”
