Welcome to the CAWIC mentoring program!
This program aims is to connect women in construction to create opportunities for meaningful mentorship, guidance, support, and growth.
The program will benefit Mentors and Mentees by encouraging valuable close connections with women in construction. Mentees will receive helpful mentorship and guidance from Mentors, which will support Mentees as they navigate the construction industry.
Any CAWIC member can become a mentor or mentee. The mentorship program is provided at no additional cost.
Mentors are CAWIC members with at least five (5) years of experience in construction.
Mentors and Mentees will be matched by the Director of Mentorship, and the program requires a six (6) month commitment (virtually or otherwise) with monthly meetings of minimum one (1) hour. The meetings should be arranged by both individuals as the program is expected to be a two-way relationship, with CAWIC’s mentorship team stepping in when needed to address questions or issues. After the six (6) month timeline, it will be up to the individuals to continue the relationship.
Mentors and Mentees will be “re-matched” every six (6) months.
We are now accepting applications until September 6, 2021 as the program will kick off September 9, 2021
Note: This program is only to be used as a tool for career development and NOT as a job seeking/recruiting tool. Professional conduct is to remain in place at all times.
