WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As the Payroll Administrator, you’ll be at the forefront of our payroll operations. Your responsibilities will include
processing payroll and expense reimbursements, compiling necessary
JOB DUTIES
• Execute end-to-end payroll processing, including data input, verification, and distribution of employee
payments.
• Prepare required reports, such as Record of Employment.
• Prepare remittances for Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB), Employer Health Tax (EHT),
Employment Insurance (EI), Pension, Benefits, and other remittances as required, for review.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including changes in employment status, tax
withholding, and benefits.
• Validate and correct time and attendance data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with resolution of payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner, which
supports a positive employee experience.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure proper storage and disposal procedures are followed, in
accordance with privacy legislation and regulations.
• Prepare and update payroll procedures and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree or diploma in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Designation or ability and willingness to obtain.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
• Valid driver’s licence required.
