The Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC) will hold its Annual General Meeting in October, and the association is currently accepting nominations from Members for its  Board of Directors.

In 2026, CAWIC has 3 three-year terms and 2 one-year terms available. We are specifically looking for individuals with a background in Government Relations, HR, Legal, Finance and the trades.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Board of Directors is responsible for delivering on CAWIC’s mission to advancing women’s success in Canada’s construction industry through collective voices, shared knowledge, powerful resources, and actionable solutions. As a volunteer Board Director, you commit to approximately 5-10 hours per month, and you will:

  • Attend board meetings and additional meetings as required.
  • Participate in one or more working committees.
  • Attend and support CAWIC events and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Membership (individual and voting corporate members only – for a minimum of one year) must be in good standing to participate on the CAWIC Board of Directors.
  • Previous experience or involvement with CAWIC in the last 12 months, including volunteering, participating on a Committee, or attending a CAWIC event, is also required.

The deadline to apply is August 30, 2026. Voting will commence at the end of September.
