NAWIC has a diverse membership and more than 150 chapters, with chapters in almost every U.S. state. Since 1996, NAWIC has seen its Core Purpose grow worldwide and has International Affiliation Agreements with the Canadian Association of Women in Construction, NAWIC-Australia, NAWIC-New Zealand, NAWIC-United Kingdom and South African Women in Construction. In NAWIC’s 58 years of service to its membership, the Association has advanced the causes of all women in construction, from tradeswomen to business owners.

Through strong alliances with the Ontario Association of Architects, the Consulting Engineers of Ontario, the Ontario Realty Corporation, and the Canadian Construction Association, the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) advocates for the construction industry at all levels of government and keeps our members abreast of what is happening in the industry. 

The Ontario Road Builders’ Association (ORBA) is the provincial voice of over 75 road building contractors who build and maintain the majority of the provincial highway system and Ontario’s municipal roads and bridges. ORBA members employ over 25,000 workers in Ontario. The Association also represents over 85 Associate Members who manufacture, distribute and/or supply products, equipment and services to the road building industry.

Sisters in the Trades was formed in 2005 with the goals of: building solidarity with each other and within our respective unions; fostering awareness of the benefits of working in the skilled trades and the value women bring to the workplace; facilitating personal and professional growth in our industry; and enabling empowerment of our members across the construction and building trades. Sisters in the Trades is a sub-committee of the Toronto and York Region Labour Council Women’s Committee and has strong ties through it’s members to many of the trade unions in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Ontario Civil Construction Careers Institute (OCCCI) provides youth with insight into the Civil Construction industry and the many career opportunities that it provides, through increased public and government funding, knowledge and resources. OCCCI provides support and resources to youth entering the Civil Construction industry, helps youth to advance their careers in Civil Construction through experience and education, and maintain solid partnerships with Associations who promote Civil Construction Careers

Habitat for Humanity Toronto is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian housing organization. We welcome all people without discrimination to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with low-income families. One hundred percent of all administrative and fundraising costs are paid for by the operation of four ReStores. Habitat ReStores sell quality new and used donated building materials. Every 10 minutes, Habitat for Humanity helps a family improve their housing situation in more than 100 countries around the world.
