The Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC) will hold its Annual General Meeting in June, and the association is currently accepting nominations from Members for its 2025/2026 Board of Directors.

In 2025, CAWIC is seeking to fill five (5), three-year Director terms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Board of Directors is responsible for delivering on CAWIC’s mission to facilitate the success of women in the Canadian construction industry by uniting our voices, knowledge and resources through the passion of our members and the women we inspire. As a volunteer Board Director, you commit to approximately 5-10 hours per month, and you will:

  • Attend board meetings and additional meetings as required.
  • Participate in one or more working committees.
  • Attend and support CAWIC events and programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Membership (individual and voting corporate members only) must be in good standing to participate on the CAWIC Board of Directors.
  • Previous experience or involvement with CAWIC in the last 12 months, including volunteering, participating on a Committee, or attending a CAWIC event, is also required.
  • Must be a CAWIC member for a minimum of 12 months from the date of application.
  • This year, we are especially encouraging applications from individuals with expertise in human resources, legal, and from regions outside of Ontario, as we continue to expand our national representation.

The deadline to apply is May 1, 2025. Voting will commence in early June 2025.
