We are growing and looking for an ambitious Construction Specialist will be responsible for construction project management of goeasy’s national retail expansion program. Construction projects will range from small renovations to full new builds (interior fit-ups).

Key Responsibilities:
All construction co-ordination and management activities for a large volume of projects per year, juggling multiple projects simultaneously
Track productivity, costs, and progress and provide updates to key stakeholders as needed
Manage tender process and make recommendations based on results
Negotiate with vendors to keep construction costs down
Manage building permit process
Co-ordinate ordering and shipment of trade fixtures
Co-ordinate preparation of drawing sets
Co-ordinate directly between goeasy, site GCs, and Landlords as needed for any site-specific needs during construction.
Review drawings, shop drawings, and make recommendations
Internal coordination with cross-functional teams
Conduct field audits, deficiency walkthroughs, or store set up as needed
Co-ordination deficiency resolution with GCs, as needed
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed construction reports

Qualifications:
3-5 years of construction experience, preferably in retail construction
Diploma or degree in related field such as civil engineering or construction technology
Previous experience coordinating a large portfolio of projects is considered an asset
French is considered an asset
Strong computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word
AutoCAD experience is nice to have!
Previous design experience considered an asset
Strong communication skills – oral and written
Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines
Ability to work with others as a team
Valid driver’s license
Basic tools / construction skills
