The Crystal, the new addition to the Royal Ontario Museum by
Daniel Libeskind, Liebeskind, one of Toronto’s
most talked about new works of architecture. CAWIC members learned how the

The second annual CAWIC Golf Day proved even more successful than the first. Kleinburg Golf Club was the

VIP Gala - June 2007
A special VIP Gala was and fund raiser was held at The Albany Club in Toronto in support of CAWIC’s bursary fund. Hazel McCallion, Mayor of Mississauga, the
key-note speaker. She spoke of her
successful leadership in one of the fastest growing municipalities in Canada. Two

Annual General Meeting - March 2007
The CAWIC Board of Directors hosted the first Annual General
Meeting of Women in Construction as a Canadian Organization. CAWIC's By-Law No. 1 was approved and a new Board of Directors was elected. It was a great opportunity for our membership to network and get to know one another.

was the winner of the Archetype For A Sustainable House national design

Ballet School
Tour - August 2006
Designed by KPMB Architects, the new National
Ballet School
in Toronto is an architectural gem. Natalie
Stasko, a project manager at the school, provided a tour of the school’s Jarvis St. campus
which consists of restored historical buildings as well as a new structure clad
in glass which provides passers-by on the street a glimpse into the dance
