2010 GOVERNMENT STATISTICS

 

Statistics Canada reported that the total value of building permits issued by Canadian municipalities increased by 5.4% to $6.7-billion in April, 2010, from March, 2010. Non-residential permits rose by 32% to $2.8-billion during the same period. Institutional permits rose by 70% to $882-million and commercial permits increased by 29% to $1.5-billion, while industrial permits decreased by 4.7% to $415-million in April, 2010, from March, 2010.
